The Beautiful Truth

This documentary follows the journey of Garrett Kroschel, an animal-loving teenager raised in Alaska. After reading a book by Dr. Max Gerson, Garrett is inspired to investigate its premise that diet can cure cancer and other diseases. Garrett travels across the country, visiting with physicians, scientists and cancer survivors to discuss Gerson Therapy -- and Gerson's claim that the medical industry has suppressed natural cancer cures for years.

This documentary is a must see. It will change the way see everything. It’s amazing to me what we don’t know. There are evil and designing men in our day who are only interested in the money, and are willing to make use of people in whatever way will bring in the buck. This so impressed me that I changed the way I brush my teeth, and I started watching the ingredients on the products that we use. Kimball *****

Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed

Hosted by Ben Stein, this controversial documentary examines how pro-intelligent design scholars and scientists are often chastised, fired or denied tenured positions by those who believe in Darwin's theory of evolution. Nathan Frankowski's film explores how scientists who believe in God are oppressed and how the acceptance of evolution may have played a role in the formation of organizations such as the Nazi regime and Planned Parenthood.

Ben Stein is a regular on Fox News and is one of Glen Beck's favorite guests. This is a great documentary exposing the unfounded and ridiculous defense of Darwinism, and the rise of Intelligent Design as the only logical explaination for everything. -->Kimball****

Young @ Heart

Coldplay, the Clash and Jimi Hendrix will never sound the same once you've heard the Young@Heart chorus, a group of Massachusetts senior citizens who thrill audiences worldwide with their unusual -- and unusually poignant -- covers of rock songs. Stephen Walker's humane and heartwarming documentary, which premiered at Sundance in 2008, follows the elderly ensemble as they prepare their new show.

OK, I admit, this might seem a bit strange. It was fun though, and in a weird way, it was cute, and sometimes it was sad. The performances were fun to watch. I think I might join them when I get to be 80 or so, if I’m not on my 4th or 5th mission or something like that. Yes, I think you’re just as old as you want to be. –>Kimball

The Apostles of Comedy

What would Jesus do for a laugh? Well, one thing's for sure: He'd probably get a kick out of these four Christian funnymen who call themselves the Apostles of Comedy and craft their stand-up around clean, wholesome jokes. Featuring live sets from comedians Jeff Allen, Brad Stine, Ron Pearson and Anthony Griffith delivered in front of a Nashville crowd, this release also includes behind-the-scenes footage capturing the guys at home and at church.

This is one of those films that you have to watch several times before you start to get all of the humor. These guys are really funny, and really clean. We find ourselves quoting them all of the time. Move over "Galaxy Quest" we have new movie lines. -->Kimball
